~ ABOUT THE CUTTINGS YOU ARE PURCHASING ~

As always, we provide only genuine San Pedro cactus (Trichocereus Pachanoi) cuttings from established mature parent plants. Many of our San Pedro plants have been in production for many years and are decades old. Our plants are located in “climate zone 9” which is also the San Pedro cactus’s native habitat. This helps to explain the superior quality and size of our T. Pachanoi cuttings. Our San Pedro cactus plants are naturally grown Thanks!

Description

“Captain Kirk” San Pedro Cactus, Large Diameter TRUNK Cuttings, Minimal Blemishes. One 12″ Trunk

Special sale! Our “Captain Kirk” San Pedro cactus Cuttings are again for sale.
This Cactus has long been in ceremonial use and is only grown on a privately owned botanical preserve in which I have exclusive harvesting rights. I am called when wind has blown over some of the old giants.
There is some available at this time.

Many of you have been asking when are self named “Captain Kirk” variety of San Pedro cactus would be back in stock and that time has come! We were recently blessed with another beautiful harvest from the private botanical sanctuary in which we have exclusive harvesting rights.

Harvesting them is no easy task as I am getting up there in age and work mostly by myself. These large Cactus, after being cut or after falling over, then have to be packed out by hand because they are somewhat inaccessible and difficult to get any kind of equipment close to them.

I try to get under the large logs when they fall after I cut them to prevent them from hitting the ground too hard, but they are very wet and heavy, and I was nearly crushed! Getting scarred up harvesting large San Pedro’s. However, just comes with the territory 😊

Tip cuttings are usually infrequent because they are the most tender portion of the plant and generally break when the columns fall over. However, there are usually a few available.

Most may have some superficial scarring which occurs naturally when they fall but a few are relatively fresh and undamaged, like these TRUNK cuttings

P.S. Don’t forget to check out the “drop down” menus near the top of each page for lots more San Pedro resources ; )
